Refund Policy

Summary: Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime; you keep access until the end of the period billed. Annual one-time purchases are refundable within 14 days if you have not used the service. EU/UK consumers retain their statutory cooling-off rights.
1. Who handles refunds
ClosePack uses Paddle as its Merchant of Record. All payments are processed by Paddle, and refunds are issued by Paddle on our instruction. The credit card statement entry will appear as "Paddle" or "Paddle.net".
2. Monthly subscription ($29/month)
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the customer portal. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused days within a billing period.
- If you were charged after cancelling, contact us within 7 days and we will refund the erroneous charge.
3. Annual one-time purchase ($99/year)
- Within 14 days of purchase, if you have not generated more than three close packages, we will issue a full refund on request.
- After 14 days, or after generating three or more close packages, the purchase is non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
- Annual purchases do not auto-renew.
4. EU and UK consumers — cooling-off period
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days for any reason, provided you have not begun using the service. To exercise this right, contact hello@closepack.app within 14 days of purchase. By using the service before the 14 days expire, you waive this right (this is required by law to be disclosed).
5. Refunds for service failures
If ClosePack experiences extended downtime (more than 48 consecutive hours) during your billing period, contact us — we will pro-rate a credit or refund for the affected period at our discretion.
6. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us at hello@closepack.app. Most issues can be resolved within 48 hours. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension.
7. How to request a refund
- Email hello@closepack.app with the subject "Refund request".
- Include the email address used for your account and the approximate date of purchase.
- State the reason for the refund request (this helps us improve the product).
- We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle within 5–10 business days.
8. Currency and fees
All amounts are in US Dollars (USD). Refunds are issued in the original currency and to the original payment method. We are not responsible for currency conversion fees or exchange rate differences charged by your bank.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Existing purchases will continue under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
